Eliza is a person-centered therapist with a background working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, life changes, and diverse mental health challenges. Eliza works to understand each client’s culture and strengths and to highlight the interplay between mental health, relationships, and environmental/systemic factors. She also emphasizes the idea that mental health is as universal as physical health. Eliza utilizes elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based approaches, and psychodynamic therapy to support clients in moving towards greater mental and emotional health. Eliza believes that through recognition, curiosity, and compassion, healing and self-discovery can emerge.
