About:
Gary has over 25 years of clinical practice experience. He obtained his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Houston and began his career as a therapist in Houston in 1996. He has provided clinical/licensure supervision since 2000 and has worked in a variety of settings as a therapist as well as served in director and executive positions. He has taught as a university instructor since 2000, teaching family therapy, group therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Gary works with adults, adolescents, couples and families from person-centered, solution-focused, psychodynamic and mindfulness perspectives. He has worked with trauma since 1996 and continues to expand his knowledge about how trauma impacts us all. He believes we all have the capacity to find our path and that change occurs when we can be true to ourselves and live in the present. He sees each interaction as an opportunity to engage, learn, laugh and grow as people.
