Minnesota Mental Health Clinics (MMHC) is a leading provider of integrated mental health services dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals, families, and communities across Minnesota. Our extensive network comprises 100+ clinical team members across 7 locations and growing delivering services for Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Group therapy, individual and family therapy, medication management, and population health management & care management.

Program Overview: The Administrative Fellow Program at MMHC is an 18-month immersive experience designed to provide aspiring healthcare leaders with hands-on exposure to all facets of healthcare management. The Fellow will collaborate closely with senior management on diverse project assignments aimed at supporting strategic initiatives and advancing our common mission. Through active participation in management activities, the Fellow will gain invaluable insights into the external environment and how it influences organizational decision-making processes.
Key Components:

  • Direct involvement in strategic projects and initiatives under the guidance of senior management.
  • Exposure to organizational operations, decision-making processes, and daily activities of a mental health system.
  • Integration of academic training with practical applications, fostering leadership and management skills development.
  • Opportunities for networking, mentorship, and professional growth within the mental health industry.

The role will also include rotating experiences within four areas of MMHC. Example projects include:
1. Office of the CEO: Strategic and growth planning, health plan and community relations, new business development, all team events, etc.
2. Clinical Operations: new program design and development, program improvement and optimization, training and career pathing, etc.
3. Practice Management: program operations, people leadership, client management, process improvement and optimization, etc.
4. Business Operations: Billing and collections, Financial planning & analysis, talent planning, business intelligence, etc.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Administrative Fellow position at MMHC should possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Health Administration or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Strong competencies in customer focus, project management, alliance building, results-orientation, change management, interpersonal savvy, communication, problem-solving, organization and planning, initiative, desire to learn, and curiosity.
