At MMHC, assessment is more than data collection—it’s a collaborative and transformational process. As a post doc, you’ll have time to engage deeply with each case and be supported in following clients through initial treatment planning or warm referrals after feedback.

Program Structure

Typical Weekly Schedule

Target Billable Time: 32 hours (includes report writing time)
Paperwork & Coordination Time: 3 hours
Individual & Group Consultation: 3 hours
Licensure Study Time: 2 hours
Didactic Development & Teaching Prep: 1 hour/week and teach 1 practicum-level didactic/month

Key Responsibilities

Psychological Testing

Provide psychological assessments for clients ages 6+ via telehealth and/or in person; Conduct diagnostic interviews and select, administer, score, and interpret psychological measures; Develop individualized test batteries for presenting concerns such as ADHD, ASD, cognitive concerns, and personality assessment

Interpret and Communicate Testing Results

Write integrated, high-quality psychological reports with clear diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations; Complete documentation in a timely, ethical, and compliant manner; Provide feedback to clients and families in a supportive and collaborative manner

Care Coordination

Provide follow-up support to clients, including treatment planning or warm hand-offs to ongoing providers

Support Practicum Student Training

Participate in and contribute to practicum student training through didactic presentations; Supervise practicum students (with support from licensed psychologists)

Clinical Collaboration

Engage in peer consultation to strengthen clinical thinking and collaboration

Eligibility Criteria

Doctoral Degree

Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology

Completion of an APA-accredited internship (or equivalent)

Eligibility for post-doctoral supervised hours for licensure in Minnesota

Experience with psychological testing and report writing

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Client-centered, culturally responsive clinical approach

Self-motivated, organized, and collaborative

Commitment to ethical care and professional growth
