Licensed Psychologist – Assessment Focused

MMHC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Psychologist to join our team as an assessment focused psychologist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to focus your practice on providing a wholistic experience to clients who need a psychological evaluation. This role will focus on the evaluation itself, in addition to offering follow-up care to ensure understanding of the recommendations and proper referrals are in place. In this role, we aim to achieve the best provider and client experience with assessment by prioritizing accessibility and thoroughness throughout the process, ultimately setting clients up for success.  

 

Role responsibilities and duties include: 

  • Performs psychological work involving the examination, classification and diagnosis of clients, which may include diagnostic clinical interviews and the selection, administration, scoring and interpretation of a wide range of psychological, intelligence, aptitude, personality, and specialized assessments in the evaluation of clients. 

  • Establishes a practice that allows for one to two follow up sessions for clients to further understand treatment recommendations and/or establish ongoing care. 

  • In this role, you will provide assessments via telehealth and/or in person to adults.  

  • As we innovate by making assessments affordable and accessible, you will have the opportunity to contribute to developing best-practices and new approaches psychological assessment. 

  • Provides clients with feedback on evaluation results, including treatment recommendations and appropriate referrals.  

  • Maintain an individual therapy case load. 

  • Create and enact client treatment plans as needed and appropriate.  

  • Complete documentation with a focus on quality and compliance, in a timely manner 

  • Keep up with Continuing Education requirements and maintain licensure in good standing. 

Requirements: 

  • Completed Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an accredited academic program) 

  • Current active license in the state of Minnesota in psychology 

  • Good standing with the professional board 

  • Experience providing psychological assessment in an outpatient setting and via telehealth 

  • Computer skills including using Microsoft Office products and healthcare software 

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the availability of new technology and software

  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine passion for providing quality mental health care 

  • Experience with diagnosing and creating objective treatment plans 

  • Experience with developing evidenced based batteries for a variety of referral questions including but not limited to ADHD, ASD, personality and cognitive assessment 

  • Observation and understanding of client’s readiness for treatment and tailoring treatment plans to fit client’s ability and needs. Evolving treatment plans based on client’s progress 

  • Natural curiosity with a desire for continuous learning. Taking initiative to learn from those around you and share your expertise with others 

  • Ability to have a non-judgmental mindset in your communication and interactions with clients and others 

  • Friendly and supportive to co-workers who have diverse backgrounds and experience 

  • Self-motivation with strong time-management and organizational skills to stay on top of client documentation and independently manage your work 

  • Strong verbal communication skills with clients, co-workers, providers, and anyone else you will need to collaborate with to deliver quality care 

  • Clear, concise, and thorough written communication for quality client documentation 

  • Proactive in developing strong client relationships and maintaining those relationships 

  • Strong ethics and moral compass 

  • Good self-care and establishment of boundaries to ensure your ability to continue to help clients
