Q&A

What was your path to becoming a mental health professional?

I have had an interest in the psychology/counseling field since high school. I attended Bethany Lutheran College and received my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I then went on to work as an ARHMS and CTSS worker for a couple of years before going on to receive my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University in the Twin Cities.

What should clients expect when working with you?

I believe that meeting goals in therapy can rely heaviliy on the therepeutic relationship between client and therapist. Therefore, I work to develop strong relationships with my clients where they can feel open and comfortable processing the uncomfortable parts of life. Clients can expect an honest, empathetic, light-hearted, and client-centered experience.

If you could be doing anything else, what would it be?

Farming or working with animals.
