Q&A
What was your path to becoming a mental health professional?
I have always been interested in Psychology and helping people, however, I dropped out of college during my last year. I was struggling with my own mental health challenges, so I know how difficult it can be. After working various jobs I decided to go back to school to finish my degree. I then started working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders. I loved being in the field and helping people, so I decided to go back to school for my master's degree in clinical counseling. I want to help people help themselves using the tools I learned along the way.
What should clients expect when working with you?
Clients can expect a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where their experiences are respected and valued. I strive to meet each person where they are, supporting them with curiosity, compassion, and evidence-based tools as we work toward their goals together.
If you could be doing anything else, what would it be?
Besides laying on a beach doing nothing, this is what I want to be doing!
